WCAP members Sherri Carlson, Steve Shoap, and Wendy Dennis attended the community meeting with Congressman John Tierney at the Wakefield library on June 23rd. Congressman Tierney was happy to hear of our new group!

WCAP had many visitors at its booth and hybrid car exhibit at Wakefield's Festival by the Lake on June 16, 2007.

The Wakefield Board of Selectmen is seeking applicants/volunteers for an Energy Conservation Committee. This committee will engage qualified contractors to design and implement energy and water saving conservation measures in public buildings and facilities. 

Those interested should send a letter of interest to the Selectmen's Office, One Lafayette St., Wakefield MA 01880 by September 28, 2007. (Published in the Wakefield Daily Item on Friday September 14, 2007.)

Also, there are Wakefield Climate Action members who can be available to advise, research, and otherwise help "share the work" of those who are appointed to the committee.
